Physically based simulation of human hair is a well studied and well known problem. But the "pure" physical based representation of hair (and other animation elements) is not always preferable by animators, who want to create specular and fantastic content. In this work, we have implemented an animation framework "Animator Controllable Hair" (ACHA) for hair animation, where the movement and rendering properties of individual hair strands are controllable by the animator in a key-frame animation basis. Another important property of ACHA is that it makes use of GPU Vertex and Fragment shaders to perform Bezier curve generation and dynamic texture coordinate calculation that enables ACHA to be embedded within any interactive computer animation application without any loss of performance of the original application. ACHA will be used as a point of departure for the implementation of the project "Key Frame Control of Physical Based Hair Animation"
